What a camera!

This photo, which I’ve never seen before, was sent to me today by my College ‘daughter’.
We were Geography students in the 1960s...as an undergraduate moving into second year, I mentored a new first year ‘Fresher’....little did we know then, we’d still be in touch when we’re in our 70s!
The photo is of me, that she took, on a Geography field trip to Norway, at Easter in 1968.
I can remember the bright blue PVC mac ( I also had a red hat!.....the College colours are blue and red,)

We were guests of Bergen University....and amongst other things we measured the sunshine levels on opposite sides of the valleys.

All of us, in some of the other photos, carried cameras.....almost all of them were Kodak cameras.
...35 mm...with rolls of 24 or 35 exposures. ..
which we took to Boots to be developed....
or could send the roll of film away, in a prepaid envelope to TruPrint, and a new roll of film came ‘free’ with your prints.

Today’s undergraduates will be taking digital photos.....
and we can look back affectionately, and smile!
