Sun-day

We eventually got some sun today but not until about 3.30, so barely 45 mins before it set. But we grabbed a cup of tea and sat in the garden for a few minutes to enjoy the blue sky and clouds - it’s been so very overcast and grey for ages here.

Took down the decorations today finally. I’ve never left it so late - I’m usually ready to get the house sorted before I go back to work after new year but just couldn’t bring myself to take them down so soon this year. I hate how the house looks so bare afterwards but I expect I’ll get used to it in a day or two.

Realised this evening talking to my sister and brothers that we’ve not even had one week of lockdown 3.0 - feels much longer already. I guess it’s the gloomy weather and short hours of daylight. I’m looking forward to the spring.
