A stroll along the beach

It was pretty hazy first thing this morning but it lifted later in the day.  All three of us went out for a walk to the beach but on the way my husband started thinking it was against the rules that there were three of us out.  Despite both my son and me saying that as we were a single household it was fine he insisted on going back home.  The two of us had a lovely walk to the beach, there was little breeze and the sun was fairly warm on this cold day.  The sound of the waves gently lapping over the pebbles was delightful.  There were several people in wet suits swimming and several people fishing.

Once home I showed my husband the rules on the gov.uk website and he agreed he was wrong.  He probably thought this because he is planning a bike exercise trip with another cyclist tomorrow, under normal circumstances there would have been three of them.

So glad we managed a short trip away late summer, talking to my sister who decided to stay put from the first lockdown she is really missing seeing family and being in a different environment.  Its more difficult this time round as the weather is not so good and this is a time when its even more important we stay home as the numbers of cases are so very high.
