The Mist in the Valley

Again, another frosty start to the day. Soon after dawn, the valley is filled with mist and a black crow is silhouetted against the pale hues of the early morning sky. The church of St. Edward is shrouded by the bare trees. It is thought that a church has stood here since Saxon times. The present building though dates from the 15th century (1420-30). Inside the Tower there are 6 bells. Only two of the bells have been rung recently due to the covid restrictions, but today, with even tighter restrictions in place, no bells were rung at all!
