Wet feet
After breakfast we went for a walk. We had a frost overnight, but by mid morning, it has melted and it was warmer and brighter. We wrapped up well donned our masks (which always causes my glasses to mist up and I can't see a thing) and we set off to town. I wasn't too busy so we walked on the walls, and then through town.
The main picture shows the islands and as you can see the tide has come in and some people were stuck on the island. As we arrived we could see some people wading through the sea, by the time I took the picture, the last few were wading back to the beach. Ironically the tide wasn't very high today and if they had waited only an hour, they could have walked to the beach in the dry. A few people rolled their trousers up or took them off, some kept them on... While not the north Atlantic, the sea here is cold at this time of year and I'm sure it was pretty unpleasant to do, but as you can see there was no wind and the sea was very calm.
The extra is a juvenile gull that was waiting for someone to feed it. It was very patient and quite happy to let me get close enough to get a decent picture of it.
