Lots of Lions

We had a wander around Barnes in west London today (my husband used to live there).
These are from the apparantly famous lion houses built in the streets around Barnes Common. The legend is that a Victorian builder ordered 100 lions for his houses and a zero in the wrong place meant he got 1000! So lions everywhere, gate posts, gables, anyplace you can stick a lion.
