Essential Errands

This is the view out my parents' back bedroom window.

I went to see them. I did a shop, I cleared snow in the drive way, I changed bedding and did IT support, as well as sorting out access to Premier Sports for Dad so he could watch Glasgow Warriers play rugby. Think I can claim essential errands, with caring responsibilities.....

Also just got to talk to them, face to face, in the same space, without having to have a conversation to keep going.

All this wearing a mask and apron - the PPE I wear at work - and more or less social distancing with them - certainly no hugs. Certainly no grandchildren with me.

How very odd.

How very lucky compared to some but rotten really.
