Resting on the rail #19

Both slept pretty well last night, didnt wake too early either.....had a lazy morning, breakfast in bed, hub had cornflakes and a banana. I treated myself to a couple of toasted crumpets.....one of my favs, only have them occasionally.

Once we were downstairs, before 11.30 today ;-) hub asked for some scrambled egg on toast, which I was more ths. happy to make for him.....he also added some crispy bacon bits, that Id cooked last night. I left him eating that whilst I popped out to get some more milk! We are getting through so much more at the moment....hub also, asked me to get him a paper, as there was plenty of horse racing on tv this afternoon :-).

I picked up a cold coffee as part of a meal deal too, which hub always enjoys. He had the grab bag of crisps too and I had the prawn pasta salad for my lunch,

I spotted this little robin edging towards to bowl of treats I'd refilled on the decking hand rail.....but just as I was lining up my shot a magpie flew in and swiped a chunk of fat soaked bread from the bowl scaring the robin off :-/ Luckily for me he wasnt deterred for too long ;-)

This afternoon has been taken up with a bit of baking......made some banana bread, as I had 3 overripe bananas, so rather thna bin them thought id give it a go. Hubs already had 2 slices so far!! zits turned out well.

Dinner, tonightmis stwed steak in gravy, with added kidney, mashed potatoes, garden peas and probably courgettes too.

As you may have ascertained, hub seems a bit better today, has a better appetite, his mood is better too, so hopeuflly he has turned the corner post the latest chemo......all we need now is some good news on Monday to spur him on, got everything crossed!

Decent viewing on tv tonight...we always enjoy The Voice. We are going to catch up on the Serpent too, as a couple of family members have recommended it!

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your kind and supportive comments lately, they really do help.

Take care, stay safe all
