Canal life in snow

I only live a few minutes walk from the canal. The towpath is busy every day of the year as it links the villages of the Colne Valley. It is the quickest, easiest and safest way to walk between villages. In winter weather most people are carrying shopping bags on their return journey. It was lethally slippery underfoot.
