Home schooling

The beauties of lockdown are that we get to play at being teachers!!!! Zach has a full timetable and zoom lessons for the whole day with his usual teachers following the normal routine but Nate has a class zoom first thing and then gets set a lot of work to work through and then upload to be marked. Very different to his old school where there was no interaction and no marking and this definitely feels more structured and actually like he is learning. I spent the whole day with him working through everything. We had a 2 and half hour break around lunchtime where we took Hector for a huge walk to Apperley Bridge but walked on the other side of the canal across the fields and wood. Was extremely muddy but always good to try new walks. Highlight of the day was finishing off a 12 page story about a T-rex called Tom that starts out being afraid and scared and eventually finds his bravery at the end. I was knackered by the end of the day. Had a bit of me time in the evening when I had a games night with Dan and we played Underwater Cities. Dan taught it me and picked it up really quick. Great game and it came down to the wire with Gibb winning by 2 points!!
