The Ozark, Arkansas, farm (circa 1916)

So... My country seems overwhelmed with misplaced faith, misplaced faith fueled by ignorance and misinformation. A social crisis is playing itself out on international television... It's frightening. It's hurtful. It's depressing... some release if not solace comes from quiet mental images, images of a time and place that never was... except in the quiet dreams of a fat old man.
