Heron

I've spent the whole day doing what I've wanted to do.    :-D)

First up, a 3+mile walk with Jorgie round the muddy woods and bridleways.
Although frosty it wasn't as cold today.

Then off to Stover for a wander around. I took plenty of photos but preferred this silhouette of the heron sitting on top of my favourite trees.

I had time before the sunset to visit Hackney Marshes in the hope of finding Kingy.
As soon as I arrived at the bridge he appeared. Sadly he sat in a dark area and while the bird is a bit sharper than my previous effort, the background tangle of reeds does nothing to help the image. (Hence I've cropped  and played around with it).   In extras
I stayed for half an hour watching as he flew up and down a narrow channel that leads into the river.
I will return when low tide is at a brighter part of the day and hope I can get something that I'm satisfied with
