Checking me out

The calves are getting bigger but their pasture is getting a bit thin.  I walked into the village to have my hair cut just as the power went off everywhere.  The hairdresser said it was too dark in the salon to cut hair and that I could come back if the power came back on. It came back on 45 minutes later by which time I had lost my slot. She has rebooked me for tomorrow. On the lunchtime news they said everyone should be using electricity sparingly as there has been a surge in demand in the cold weather. Perhaps that is why we had the power cut. I joined the English Zoom French conversation group in the afternoon where we discussed the new travel restrictions. It looks like I will be staying put for a while!
