Huff and puff

First day of school from home, round two.

CyclopsJnr was very keen to get started and wanted to get going by 9.15am despite there being a new smattering of snow.

The tasks were quite introductory today. A few videos from teachers, a worksheet, some writing and drawing, one of the teachers reading a story. The theme was types of houses and there was reference to the Three Little Pigs. Afterwards, CyclopsJnr decided to make his own Three Little Pigs model to play with (pictured). He also had a placing test for the Maths Seeds online programme. It jumped him ahead 50 lessons (since where he got to during the original lockdown) so he must have learned a lot in the first term of p2!

In the afternoon we went for a walk on the golf course, where we don't usually get to go due to the golfing normally happening there but not at the moment. We especially enjoyed exploring the weirdness of the sandy icy bunkers.

Then we brought the duvet down to the sofa and watched the live action version of Aladdin.
