Fingers of frost

A decentish night......binmen werent too early either, cuppa around 8.30, cornflakes & a toasted scone for hub. A cold frosty morning, with some freezing mist around too....resulting in some beautifully frosted plants and trees.

We lazed around, our nurse called had a long chat with hub, then a few words with me too.
Showered & downstairs, 11.30 already!

Popped out into the garden, took a few shots in the back, then around to the front garden, where I heard our neighbours voice, he was stood talking to hub through the lounge window. Todays blip is our Cottinus more commonly known as a "smoke bush" covered in a filigree of frost.

Next a quick trip to the Bakery, 2 loaves, then I tried to buy some icepops/poles for hub, nurse recommended trying them to cleanse his palate pre a meal.....no luck, nowhere stocks them in the winter, settled for kiddies ice lollies instead ;-) Collected our Costa coffees then headed back to hub. Boy did we both enjoy those.......the little things :-)

Cheese & ham omlettes for lunch.....followed by rice pudd for hub. Had my first Click & Collect experience late afternoon, all pretty painless......definitely do it again!

Got my mums colouring books & crayons out today, we havent touched them, yet, but we will! Going to look on Amazon and order a couple of jigsaws, trying to find things that will divert hubs attention.

I'd say he has been a bit better today, well until this evening...he didnt fancy the planned thai red chicken curry & rice, so we opted for chicken soup, followed by a tuna & cheese toasty, which i enjoyed. Hub liked the soup but not the toasty :-/ he did enjoy a bowl of fruit with a slice of vienetta icecream afterwards though ;-)

Finally got around to switching my mobile contract today.......an opportune phonecall paid dividends for the caller and saved me a lot of unneeded hassle. Did a couple of other household related admin jobs too.

Watched the briefing this evening, then sport, followed by Martin Lewis & Beat the Chasers, all easy viewing. Dont think we will be late to bed tonight, hubs still really tired.......the nurse did say he is probably at his lowest point post chemo at the moment.

Keep safe out there.......
