Way Marker

A few days ago I posted a picture in which some of you spotted a thin red post at the roadside and wondered what it was. As I explained, it is to mark the edge of the road when all is covered in snow. As I also pointed out there was a time when little fir sticks like this one were used all over the country. Nowadays they are not seen so often and when they are noticed they seem to mark out pedestrian paths like this one I found in Hämeenlinna today.
