The trouble with Lockdown -
- especially when its snowing outside , is that I turn to baking. This is the second stollen recipe I have tried. Better than the first but still a but dense. To get the bread to prove in this cold weather I searched the internet for proving tips and put the bread in the oven with a tray of steaming water. Your don't turn the oven on but the steam warms up the cold oven. It seemed to work. Any other tips out there?
Now there's a lot of stollen to eat before I try another recipe.
