Kingfisher. (Or bird on a stick)

Decided I needed to get out and go for a walk this afternoon. Walked my camera along the filthy muddy canal bank, leaving the dogs at home. It was dark and miserable but I was thrilled to catch sight of this little fella on the other side of the water. Surprisingly he was very obliging while I quickly went through various camera settings. Couldn't get the right exposure but with a little help from my recently purchased topaz denoise I was able to brighten it up.

Great to be back with camera club coffee morning after the Christmas break. So uplifting to chat in a group setting again. Lots of subjects covered.
