Bleak Week

I am pretty confident that 2021 will get better as we progress through it.

But this has been quite a first week to a new year. The UK outside the EU. A lockdown which looks set to last until March at least. Rapidly rising Covid infection rates and deaths, with hospitals under huge pressure. And morally bankrupt Trump, who has got away with crooked behaviour his whole life, inciting a mob to storm the Capitol building in Washington.

Thank goodness Biden won, the democrats control Congress, and vaccination programmes are beginning. Progress will be difficult, but we all need to move forward.

This is our local golf course, just before it started snowing. Private, but hopefully they won’t mind me taking a stroll.
