I needed a break from the news and some fresh air, but by the time I got out it was getting darker and snowing a little.

I talked to Mum who is fine but so deaf now! She's still waiting to be called for a vaccination. The neighbour's mother, younger than Mum, has already had both her jabs, and my sister is wondering what criteria the surgery are using to call people in. However, they've been told to wait and not to phone.

And my eldest grandchild is 26 today. How did that happen?
