We Read to Know We're Not Alone

These words spoken by C.S. Lewis in the film Shadowlands are perhaps apt for this time of Covid and lockdowns.  

I finished Ian Rankin's Mortal Causes (Rebus 6) a couple of days ago and I've started Philip Roth's The Plot Against America.  Roth's 2004 book about an alternative history where F.D. Roosevelt is defeated in the 1940 Presidential election is scarily prescient .
