New year

We chose the 4-mile-ish trundle around Cox Wood, past Horseley Hall and up the Pystyll Hill today, partly for somewhere different to the usual walk around the old quarry but also to purposefully avoid the inevitable influx of New Years Resolutionites who will no doubt be turning up over the next few days until the novelty wears off. Thankfully we didn’t see a soul here apart from an elderly couple walking arm-in-arm and a family of 4 blowing away the cobwebs in matching Christmas scarves.
