Pride Of Place On The Village Noticeboard
Back to work with a bang today as we have three days to finish a large set of documents ready for submission on Wednesday. We had completed 90% of the work in the run up to the Christmas holidays but there was still a lot to do, meaning a nearly full day of meetings.
It was the first day with Dylan too and I had puppy proofed my office so well he ended up sound asleep on the bottom shelf of my now cleared bookshelves (extra). He was generally really good and I was grateful for the boys for their help with him.
We did get a 15 minute walk into the village to post a letter, carrying Dylan with us and stopping at the bus stop to checkout the COVID addition village book swap. In the last lockdown they had run a drawing competition for the village children and I loved the results now taking pride of place on the notice board.
So Boris announced lockdown 3.0 this evening. It was greeted with mixed feelings in the Kit household, Sushi was relieved that exams are cancelled but worried about missing a further 6 weeks face to face learning with schools being closed. Eldest was worried about getting back to his flat as he needs access to the more reliable WiFi and his books and notes ready for part of his final year exams in a few weeks.
