Feeling very small

I'm catching up with a lot of things this weekend. I've spoken and emailed with friends back home. I've done laundry and some settling-in things at our still-slightly-temporary-almost-home and now we're all scattered to do things we like on our own: J has gone to look at elephant seal pups at Año Nuevo up the coast, R has gone with a friend to hang out at the beach and eat ice-cream, after a suitable exchange of "let's check out how independent we are prepared for our daughters to be" with her new friend's mom. And I am pottering around here. Here at home and here on blipfoto.

In some ways the discipline is a chore - find a picture, make sure it's straight (a substantial number of mine have a tilt to the right...), think of something to say. Today, as I have more time, I browsed about and ended up at Kendall's page. And now I just feel small.
