Snow and Hope

Dear Diary,

Another Wu Wei image, outside my breakfast room window this time.  We had snow all day yesterday but it was very light and fluffy causing no trouble and only about an inch accumulation.  My favorite kind of snow.  I love how the rhododendron bud is offering a hint of the spring that will surely come in a few months.  A sign of hope.  The special election yesterday has, so far, produced one democratic gain in the senate and the other democrat is ahead by 16,000 votes so there is hope that he will win also.  Now, we just have to get through today's turmoil and I will be so relieved.
