3 Miles to Cambridge
I pass this milestone on the A10 quite often on my daily walk. It is one of a series of milestones that run from Cambridge to Barkway and reckoned to be the oldest in the country apart from a few Roman ones in museums.
They were erected by Trinity Hall College on the old coach road to London around 1728. I think the Roman numerals say 1908 it is thought they may have been recut then.
Must sort some pictures out for club competitions now.
