A shadow of his former self

This is the Eric Morecambe bird hide at Leighton Moss (Home of the Lesser Spotted Knotman and the Gladders Goose)

The solution to yesterday's puzzle? Well the sign was on a gate very close to this hide. Further research revealed that it  is to do with the railway. CBC1 is an Engineer's Line Reference and  it refers to the Carnforth Barrow Carlisle Line.

I  think the rest refers to a particular junction and the distance from it.
