Travel cake shop

Back to work today and my two classes are ok. With the current COVID situation in London I wasn’t sure what to expect. Two possible current cases and one possible case during the break. Out of about 30 students, that’s to be expected, especially given the demographic - waiters, cleaners, supermarket staff. They’re rested but understandably downcast. My manager agrees it’s not sensible for me to move there at the end of January.
A good walk after class but had to tread carefully for it had been raining and the footpaths were slippery. Spotted some nice looking strawberries in a small shop open late so bought them. They were delicious. I was very tired but stayed awake to see Boris announce lockdown (it was 10pm here), then off to bed.
Difficult times for many.
