Hoiky bit

Today is Tiny Tuesday kindly hosted by loisbiz this month. 

This is our wood burner, Hamlet! 

I have focussed in on what I call the "hoiky bit" from where we riddle the grate to loosen the ash into the tray. It is a small, but vital part of the system. Any advance on its technical name would, of course, be welcome!
