Between fen and mountains

A jumble of pipes

It was -3 at the market this morning so I went round very quickly. I had to call in at the accountant's and insurance offices to sort out one or two things. It was above freezing when I went for a walk but a few snow flakes fell in the afternoon. There is no serious snow forecast yet. I prepared the bread starter in the afternoon and made soup with the last squash I had brought over from my garden in the UK. I also listened to an interesting broadcast assessing the trade deal from a French and European long term perspective. The conclusion was that the UK had possibly, to some extent, had its cake and eaten it. I am not convinced. The commentator also suggested that the Scots have missed the boat on independence and will meet the same difficulties the Catalans and other separatist movements have experienced.
