Essential for Taste

It's that time of the year again, and I was very cheered to find that the ghastly effects of Brexit had not prevented the arrival of Seville oranges at our local farm shop.

So Mrs B has been busy with those oranges cooking up another couple of batches of her gorgeous marmalade.  It's just as well as the very last jar of 2020's production run went to our parish priest for Christmas.

This has perfumed the house for about 24 hours, and the addition of brandy or whisky will add just a touch of sharpness to the taste.

I can hardly wait . . .
