Dazzling Dahlias

Well this is a first for me.  The first time I have ever grown a Dahlia plant and I have to say it has turned out to be quite spectacular.  It’s been fascinating to watch it grow after planting a humble bulb in the corner of one of the raised veggie beds.  At first there was no sign of life but once it broke through the soil it just took off.  The plant would be around a metre high at least and absolutely towers over the veggies.  It has really encouraged me to plant more next year.  I hope my blip buddy Jolang is impressed with my blip tonight.  Jolang is the queen of growing Dahlias and I have always loved seeing her garden when the Dahlias are in full bloom.  It’s been a wonderful sunny day today.  Hard to believe after many days of good solid rain.
