A very mono day

Another day of heavy rain, we did have a few breaks, but not when I could go out.  I do not have many yard birds right now as we have been asked by Portland Audubon to have no bird feeders out right now.  There is a salmonella outbreak and the pine siskins are dying at an alarming rate.  I have not had any at my house, but my parents and their neighbors have them dead birds all over the yard.  I only live 5 minutes away so I thought it was wise.  We are instructed to keep them empty for 14 days then sterilize the feeders before placing them in the yard again.
