Slip sliding away!

In honour of Favia 13 who often quote sings..  here's mine ( from Paul Simon) It seemed appropriate today.
First, ice. It was another crisp winter day. No wind , 5 degrees. We chose Channelside for our walk as we needed ' essentials' from Tesco. 

One of my favourite fishing boats was missing. Had it been taken out on a trip? No , it had been moved by the quayside. The men were working hard tidying up all the lobster pots etc. I wonder when theyll be  next out to sea.
We thought the ice had melted but no... we were wrong! What we thought was water was ice! It became quite a difficult walk as the brick paths were treacherous although the concrete and tarmac was ok. There were a few times when I almost lost my balance and though I didnt realise till I got home I ended up wrenching my hand as I grabbed onto the fence. Now at almost bedtime the pain is travelling up from my hand to my shoulder.  Ibroprufen and paracetemal should help.

Tesco was very quiet . I'm glad I chose today to shop. Maybe people are already deciding to shop online.

Like many people we listened to the message from Boris this evening... Lockdown. To be honest , it's not going to make a lot of difference to us from tier 4. I just hope, really hope that the morons who went out over the last few days and were quite happy to congregate in large numbers finally get the message that it's people like them that are spreading the virus.

For the last 9+ months I have followed the rules. Weve not had any holiday breaks away anywhere. , weve not been to restaurants etc . Weve  kept our distance from other people, our friends, our family. It's made me so angry looking at the large groups of people who arrogantly believe they are exempt and use their political beliefs to support this. 

Sorry for the rant.. but like everyone else I just want this all to be over as soon as possible and know the only way it can happen is everyone does what is asked of them
