The working week

The first time that the working year has started and we’re not working. It takes time to get used to the idea. For those who have started their working weeks, but are now working at home, it will also be feeling unreal. It’s not an easy time, especially for working parents.

The Christmas decorations and the tree all came down today. This rose, now dried up, is a remnant of a table decoration. Outside lights stay up through to Twelfth Night.

So the latest lockdown starts tomorrow. It is very necessary. The muddle of the last few days and weeks has been really frustrating, we need to move forward to reduce infection rates and takes the pressure off the NHS whilst the vaccine programme makes progress. That will also help the economy in due course.
