Back to Virtual Queues

I’ve fortunately never lost the habit of booking weekly Ocado slots four weeks ahead since lockdown one... on innocently popping onto the app tonight to add something to this weeks order I encountered my old lockdown friend, the virtual queue again.
Second one of today after spending 40 minutes listening to pop music waiting for my ISP to tell me that they are ‘working on ‘ our catastrophic line fault with no further information to give, playing the ‘but my husband is a key worker who must access his systems ’ card made no difference to their sympathy level or urgency. So tomorrow I must deliver training via a dial in line whilst a colleague drives the slides...what could possibly go wrong! I told you 2021 was not going to be great...I’m now making poetic fallacy I think.
