La Marne

My house is about a ten minute walk from the banks of the Marne. Right now, they're overflowing. France has had a lot of flood warnings over the past week, as if there wasn't enough crises happening.

As I'm working through the week, from home, I expect a lot of upcoming photos to document the area around me. I hope at some point to get a blue sky. I might have to avoid landscapes if it's just gonna grey on me all the time.

I tried a few times to capture the flood, the most interesting pictures not being the banks themselves but trees poking up out of the overly high river; In the end though, I found the composition here had a lot more happening, with the fence in particular creating a sense of depth.
