Golden Glow

I'm posting a picture taken by G today during a very impromptu outing. She had finished her afternoon lesson and looked out the window and saw the sky, so we got dressed pronto and headed out. We didn't go too far to get shots of the Burj Khalifa (which happens to be 11 years old today) and some other iconic buildings.

G has her shortest day on a Monday so I decided I'd sort out the new broadband contract. I should have been given an offer of a discount spread out over 12 months that hasn't materialised. 75 minutes and chats with countless people later, I finally got it in place with apologies for how long I had been on the call. G finally got the voucher for the competition she won on the radio at the beginning of December. They must settle up at the start of a new month!

Today is also the 15th anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed becoming the Ruler of Dubai.
