An icy start to the day

Lethal conditions underfoot today but it was such a beautiful morning that Pollok Park was very busy with folk slipping and sliding and trying not to lose their dignity by falling on the ice.

I was well prepared with Yak Tracks on my boots, my trusty pole in my hand and keeping to the grass as much as possible I felt relatively secure. Folk were in such good humour and there were smiles all round as we kept to our social distancing.

There had been no gritting anywhere in the park  ..... glad I left my car on a nearby road outside the gate.
