Meat Thermometer

We finally got round to buying a meat thermometer the other day (I say we, I mean H). It is great, has all the latest animals on it.

Saying that however the indicated 'rare' for the beef I've just roasted was somewhat wide of the mark. Alas a little overdone.

Today started with a chilly dog walk then we picked the Children up and took Poppy to a Brownies thinking day. Alf was not sure what they were going to spend all day thinking about.Then into town to get some bits for the school spring project. What a complete pain the spring project is as usual! This year we have two of them.

We spent a couple of hours on project work, then had to take refuge in a G&T and a roast dinner.
