Settled, Stillness

After a fresh snowfall, with branches heavily laden, everywhere looks so pretty. It was very quiet, presumably snow eats sound. The fallen tree branches help because, being horizontal, they provide a surface for the snow to rest on. So there's lots of alternation: white/black/white. And a surfeit of detail.

I'm finding it quite hard to create any kind of variation in the white snow, especially in this flat light, at least the open area of snow is at a minimum. It seemed important to place the beginning of the line of snow in the bottom left corner, but not quite.
