Green Brooch

I started this the other day and just finished it. The actual brooch is more greeny than it looks on the photo and when I was colouring the drawing there quite a few purply bits from reflections but they don't show up on the photo either.
Anyway, it was just an exercise and I'm quite pleased with it. How do you make things look sparkly though?

My knee is still swollen and not bendy but I am managing to get about - just a bit difficult on the stairs. At least it's not sore this time, just a nuisance.

I also did 3 rows of knitting and sang one song on the uke :-)

There is still snow lying and lots of ice. Not that I went out in it!

Bella has a sore paw, one claw was hanging off. We're wondering if she did that on the ice. Keeping an eye on it for sign of infection. I've got Hibiscrub on the boat that the vet gave (er sold) me last time she had a cut. Frank will get it tomorrow.
