Changing Seasons
There were three problems today. One, was I just didn’t feel like going out. It was wet, cold and dark, and I was very happy sitting next to the fire reading. Two, our two border collies would not be fobbed off with a play in the garden and, three, I am more than a little bored with trudging up the same lane to the crossroads - a walk I did nearly every day during lockdown. However, I am always struck by how different the same hedgerow/tree looks dependent on the light or the changing season. In April, the hedgerows were alive with wild flowers. The trees may be bare now, but I know that in a few weeks they will start changing. I came back with a feeling of optimism.
