Happy Birthday to me!

I was reminded that I needed to change my LinkedIn profile recently now that I am no longer employed.  I spent ages wondering what I should put as calling myself 'retired' at the age of 54 didn't feel entirely right.  Especially not if I wanted to treat myself to one of the new Canon 400mm f2.8 lenses, in which case I might need to find some kind of gainful employment to pay for it.

In the end, I decided 'author' felt right, and DawnAgain kindly gave me a blue plaque to put on the front of our new house :-)
