A moody walk
We had a timed ticket for Cragside but decided against as the website said many tacks were closed due to ice etc. Instead I had a walk with Ailie. Just the usual through the woods - horribly muddy and where not muddy, icy. There was a bit of blue sky at first but then the rain came on. We persisted as once we were wet it didn’t matter. 10000 steps. Simonside is in silhouette behind Ailie.
I had a hot bath with my lime basil and mandarin oil. Bliss. I read “why the Germans Do it Better” by Julian Kampfner who had been the Torygraph correspondent in East Berlin in 1989. He’s a journalist so it is easy to read. Interesting though.
Nathaniel and Ella has their Harry Potter ‘tents’ last night and made potions wearing their outfits. The sorting hat put them in houses and then they did an on line quiz to check it was right - he is Gryffindor and she is Ravenclaw. He said it was his best birthday ever - not many can say that about Covid birthdays.
