Look Away

After another night of freezing temperatures the village woke up to be covered in black ice.
The village website was full of lots of warnings not to venture out.
And it was so quiet outside, no walkers with or without dogs and no cars.
The road looked like an ice rink.
Mid afternoon there was a slight thaw and l ventured out into the back garden, the lawn still covered in ice.
After not doing any work out there for a good two months it looks awful and is crying out for some TLC.
So it’s my flower fairy who luckily is averting her eyes from the neglect surrounding her.
