Homework

Pretty good Sunday today!
Lots of housework done this morning and the house actually looks noticeably sparklier and less chaotic. And cleaner and airier. And not rage inducing!
Ah, the motivation of knowing friends are coming over later!!
Friends who live in a lovely sparkly, organised, clean, airy and calming house!
It's been ages since we've seen Mrs Z and Mr K properly. It was lovely!
The kids had fun dressing up and bouncing on the trampoline.
Mrs Z and I had fun looking at my Suffolk guidebook and my photos from last year's trip to Southwold. We've booked a cottage there in the Summer with them and Mrs C and her family. Six grown ups and seven kids by the seaside. Can't wait!!!!!
The Mr K's had fun looking at new phones and discussing the MacBook Pro.
We all had fun eating cake and nibbles!!
I cooked the roast while Mr K and Miss E sat and did her homework. Obviously we've left it until the last evening of half term!
I love the look of concentration on her face while she does it. And it still takes me by surprise how well she can read and write - it doesn't seem five minutes since she did nothing but chew on books!!
She wrote me a note yesterday when she had the hump. She'd flounced out in a huff and two minutes later marched in brandishing it:
I do not lick you
Well that's a relief
That's not a very nice thing to say to Mummy. It hurts my feelings
Out she went again.
Two minutes later she sidled in with a sheepish look and handed me a note:
I lick you. xxx
I like you too Baby Girl
