What the Heck!!

This morning, as I was brushing my teeth, the street outside filled with emergency vehicles, flashing lights, and horns and sirens. Neighbors came out on to their porches asking each other what was going on and worried looks covered all faces. I had to leave for work and wondered all day about the commotion.

I learned this evening that there had been a small fire at a garage apartment near the end of the block. No injuries or extensive damage were reported and life continues on in this little part of the world.

Still...I'm glad for the fire department.
