Winter Walk

With better weather forecast for today we decided to take a longer walk today. It's one made up by my other half to help him with training for long distance walks. But we've never done it under wintry weather conditions. It's about 9-10 miles long. 

It takes us along the Trent and Mersey canal and over the top of Downs Bank owned and managed by the National Trust.

And the return leg is over Tittensor Chase and Kingswood on the Trentham Estate. There's an Iron Age hillfort - Bury Bank - on the chase.

We did have quite a flurry of snow at the start of the walk which continued as we walked over the Downs shown here.
