Distortion
With the lens set at its widest angle, unfortunately you get a lot of distortion when you photograph buildings like those in Wroclaw. None the less, I hope the picture gives the general idea.
When we first woke up, it was absolutely sheeting down with rain, so we shelved the original idea to have a good potter around the city before getting the taxi to the airport, instead lying abed for a while and then having a leisurely breakfast. By the time we went down to check out, the rain had abated - taking most of the snow with it and just leaving some sleety yuck - and we went quickly around the block to take a few more 'taster' pictures of this lovely place. We must come back. We found it really friendly, and very attractive on the eye, and of course Silesian history is fascinating. I thought it particularly interesting that one of my colleagues was flying this morning from Wroclaw to Belgrade. As if flying from one end of the Austro-Hungarian empire to the other. Would have taken weeks by carriage or horse back in the day, of course.
Back home to a chilly flat, a pile of washing, a load of tasks and an overnight trip to Brussels on Tuesday. No rest, etc. etc.
